Distilling Place
An exhibition of wok by D. Chase Angier which examines the intersection of place, walking, choreographic practices and digital imagery. Reception on Thursday, January 30 from 6-7pm in the Scenography Gallery on the first floor in Miller Performing Arts Center
D. Chase Angier distills hundreds of images collected from over one hundred miles of attraction walking in Paris, France; Homer, Alaska; Chattanooga and Nashville, Tennessee; and Los Angeles, California; down into twenty seven images. Using similar practices from creating site responsive performance works, Angier explores responding to site in two-dimensions with the support of the summer printmaking class, William Contino, Don Weinhart, and their team.
